I always forget about this restaurant, but enjoyed my lunch visit to Carrabbas. I opted for the pizza and salad and my colleague went wifh the lasagna. Our server was incredibly attentive - I hate that I forgot her name. Our food came out relatively quickly. I selected the house salad, which was served with a pretty good house dressing. My pizza arrived not too long afterwards. I chose the "carnevale", which was topped with Pepperoni, Italian fennel sausage, roasted red bell peppers, romano, mozzarella and basil. It was great and large enough to even take a couple slices home! My colleague enjoyed her lasagna but mentioned it was just okay. Otherwise it was a good visit. I enjoy it and will visit again!

Ordered the sampler plate. The lasagna top noodle was hard as a turtle shell. The chicken in the chicken parm was black on edges- over cooked. Some sort of squiggly pasta with a dollop of tomato sauce (dry). Overall very average food. Service was great.

I love the look of this restaurant. However I wish the taste of the food was as pleasant as the decor. I had the Fettuccine Alfredo for lunch. Salt and Pepper required, come on chef taste your food. My coworker had the margherita pizza, she ate one slice and boxed the rest to go. Neither of us were pleased with the food, however the ambience is delightful. If you are looking for good Italian this is not the place. The server was prompt but once the restaurant started to fill up the server became overwhelmed and we had to ask for our check, wait for our change and get another server to bring a to go box. It seems that there are so many lovely restaurants in this area but the food is marginal at best.

Tuesday night, we had a business dinner at this location. This was our first time back to this restaurant in over a year. We found the food began to decline in flavor and decided we could do better somewhere else. I was surprised at how few people were seated. I know it was a Tuesday evening, but it was not crowded at all. Let's begin at the beginning...the bread and dipping oil was great as always!!! Caesar Salad was tasty, so far so good! I ordered the Chicken Sorrento - I was looking forward to the fig glaze over the grilled chicken. My server decided to bring me the large serving...ugh, brought half of the meal home. The chicken was prepared beautifully, but the cheese "drowned" the other ingredients of the topping. (Actually the leftover portion of chicken was a 1000x better the next day when I reheated it for lunch. I guess the flavors had marinaded into one another and the result was great!) My side was garlic potatoes and they were fine. Hubby had the grilled salmon and commented that it was tasteless. We cook salmon at least once a week at home and have become quite good at seasoning. He said he would not order it again. Finally we shared a dessert, the Rosa. The descriptions sounded yummy...a butter cake with pineapple, strawberries and a glaze. It came out looking like a pineapple upside down cake. Nothing like the description. Unfortunately the cake was dry, I do not suggest ordering this one. I know we will not go back here if we have the choice of locations.

First trip here. Calamari appetizer was so so. I had the Johnny Rocco Salad. The scallops were perfect, the shrimp, not so much, in the pan too long. The rest of the salad was perfect. My companion had the Sirloin Marsala med rare, and it was close to being perfect with the grilled asparagus instead of mushrooms, and prosciutto. I guess they were out, but it was ok. I had to give an extra full star for the Crown Royal on the rocks. Frequently, in some places premium drinks are substituted or cut, not this. This could have been put on a snowball. Great. Service was great!

What's worse than awful? My experience was more than lackluster and this is not my first time here. It use to be one of my favorite places, now it's a dreaded location. The drinks were horrible, no alcohol. The food was terrible. And what's worse than your food and drinks being horrible? The service!! Customer service was disgusting from the hostess to the waiter, I was beyond annoyed. This use to be one of my favorite spots. Do yourself a deal and just go to Olive Garden on Siegen, at least you'll get unlimited breadsticks.

First of all let me say, Brendon (hope I spelled it right) was a fantastic waiter! He was very attentive, and made sure we enjoyed everything. The food was excellent. Our drinks were raspberry Italian sodas. We had the flat bread chicken as an appetizer, and it tasted just like a miniature pizza. My oldest daughter had lobster ravioli, which she loved, and my youngest daughter had a delicious pizza. I had the lobster mac n cheese. My only thing is I would have preferred a teeny more lobster. Maybe next time folks? LOL, give them a try. You won't be disappointed.

Three stars...hmmm where to begin. Number one, it's a chain and I avoid chains at ALL costs. It automatically loses a star for that. Sorry! My friends raved about their kids menu so I got suckered into going. It was pretty good. $5.50 for a bunch of different stuff. My sons ordered the sirloin skewers and the ravioli. The sirloin skewers were ordered medium rare, but came out well done. He couldn't even chew them. The manager took them back and comped them (super nice). I love the bread the bring out with the olive oil dipping sauce. My mussels were good. The service was on par as well. Except, it probably took over 5 minutes to get my drink. At least, bring me a water while I wait. Overall, I would probably go again.

Went to lunch here today. Service was great, food was good. Had teenage girls with me and they were very happy with the lobster ravioli, chicken parmigiana, and chicken Alfredo. We said we were in a rush and they bent over backwards to get us out quickly.

I have lunch here a few weeks ago during reconstruction of the restaurant. My meal was excellent. The service was high quality. I very much enjoyed the meal. I had a veal dish that had excellent flavor and presentation. I will be back, I hope. For a caain restaurant, it is above the ordinary.

This location has improved markedly when I was there for lunch on Monday. The Chicken Marsala was very good but an extremely tiny portion for $19 for about 25 baby green beans, a chicken breast, 4 pieces of mushroom, 1 ounce (maybe) of sauce and a very tiny Caesar salad that I ordered from the dinner menu. It was good but it sure wasn't worth the money they charged for it. Service from Ann was excellent but the tiny amount of food for $25 (with tip) makes it a very poor value for the money spent. I wouldn't have come again to this location after how bad it was but I was having lunch with a group and they chose it. Way not worth the money--I can get a REALLY good meal for the same price or less in too many other places around town. I won't be back again.

We ate here for the first time tonight... because we had a giftcard leftover from Christmas. My husband had spaghetti and meatballs. I had lobster mac & cheese. He said that the meatballs were great. He likes a smooth spaghetti sauce and theirs was NOT. The lobster mac and cheese was ok. The lobster was chewy like gum and the cheese sauce didn't coat the pasta. It pooled in the bottom of the bowl. The salads were good and the complementary bread was good. We probably won't return on our own accord, but if family is in town and they want to go, we probably will go with them.

We go to Carraba's quite a bit. It's not only our go to place for celebrations like birthdays but we often just go because we like it so much. It's reasonable and the food is really good. In addition, we have never had a bad waitress/waiter. Everyone we have had has been good and personable and attentive. As much as we go I have never had a bad meal. Some things I like more than others but that is just personal taste. I could almost live on the bread and dipping oil they give you. My two entree' favorites are the Chicken Bryan and the Steak Bryan. Carraba's is always a safe bet and sure to please everyone.

I love my pasta and there is the place to go for pasta. Your surroundings are good. You can eat good food and enjoy you a glass of wine in piece. Great date place to go. All if my exsperinces there were good.

I gave them a try because I was on a business trip and had to stay in my hotel room to work and they would deliver to the hotel. Unfortunately, that's where my enthusiasm ended. The menu looked good with a nice variety . I ordered the Minestrone Soup, Caprese Salad and Pasta Sostanza. It was delivered quickly and nice and hot (that's what the two stars are for) but when I ate it...everything was soo salty! The soup, thepasta...at least the caprese salad was not. It was disappointing.

We dont eat out too often but when we do, its quite a treat. We dont usually do chain restaurants, but Carraba's is one of our favorites.... If tonight was my first night coming to Carraba's, i wouldnt think about coming back. It started when we sat down in the bar area. Our waiter was seth. Lets just say, he needs more training on serving tables. He took our drink orders and missed a drink, which granted couldve been an honest mistake. He then took our order for mussels. Normally, they bring out the olive oil dip and bread. It took a while to get our mussels and when they finally arrived we had no utensils or plates to eat with. We had to flag him down and ask for these things. Then, we finally got to dig in....the mussels were not what we remembered. They didnt have as much sauce which is the yummiest part. Then the salads came out. Those were a lot smaller than i remember. After finishing our salad, it took probably 15-20 min to get our entree. I ALWAYS get the Pollo Rosa Maria...always. For years now. Its normally 2 chicken breasts, split in half, stuffed with prosuitto and topped with mushrooms. Presentation was very lack luster. All that arrived was chicken breast and it was almost half the portion im used to getting. It was just a grilled chicken breast with cheese on top. Chicken was good for a grilled chicken but not for what i was expecting. They forgot the chicken on my friends dish, and my husbands pasta barely had any sauce on it. My friend had also ordered an italian soda and the server forgot about that as well. At one point, he was visiting with a couple at another table for at least 10 minutes. From beginning to end, it was just overall disappointing. Now, itll be a while before i even think about returning.

I have to say this was one of our favorite places to dine. However the last two times our service was less than desirable and my entree which I order every time was prepared differently. I always get the Polla Rosa Maria which is supposed to be stuffed with cheese. However this particular visit it was not. I asked our waiter about the change and he simply replied that he was new and didn't know if the item had recently been changed. Seems like the staff should know that they are serving. The atmosphere is also not as welcoming as it once was. Seems like the remodel took away from the quiet relaxing ambience that it once was. The booths are way smaller and almost uncomfortable for 2 people to even sit together. We will try this location one more time before scratching it off the list but hopefully the next experience is better than these.

Eating here is a treat for me because it is kind of pricey. The food is good. They have a good many items on the gluten free menu.I've have never gotten sick from the cross contamination. They are very attentive and anytime there is a problem they are sure to make it right. The regular food that they have that is awesome is the tomato basil soup, tiramisu, beef with the season and oil, and much more. We have never eaten anything we didn't like and I'm extremely picky.

We went here because my parents were in from out of town and excited to find a Carraba's in town. They'd been to another of the chain at Hilton Head and had a wonderful experience. We had been to the Baton Rouge location before, for lunch, and were not impressed, but in the spirit of second chances we tried it for dinner. We got seated quickly and dessert was pretty yummy. Everything in between was unpleasant and I am writing this at 2:30am, because my other half is miserable due to dinner. My biggest complaint is with the service which I found inexcusable. The waitress made eye-contact with us exactly once -- when she delivered the bill. Otherwise, her eyes were scanning the dining room and she spat out her little spiel's so quickly you couldn't process what she was saying. She also took plates away before people were done eating. She didn't even ask if they were done. The food was pretty meh. I'd have preferred the frozen skillet meals you can get at the grocery store. In particular, the steak I had was tough. The grilled chicken was HEAVILY peppered and nothing in the description of the dish implied it would be so peppered. It matters because my partner has a very low tolerance for pepper. If the menu had implied pepper, they would have gotten the fettuccine instead. In general, I wouldn't go back here voluntarily. There's an Olive Garden in town and a Macaroni Grill an hour away. Yes, I would rather drive an hour and pay more for Macaroni Grill than return to this Carraba's.

Ok Carraba's is usual one of my favorite restaurants until recently. We recently have been twice in the past two weeks and the changes after the remodel left a lot to desired and in my opinion took away from the restaurants experience. they took away a bunch of their tables and added booths in the main floor area. Now about my last experience. Last night we went with my sister in law to Carraba's after my wife bragged about how good it was. we got there and was quickly seated which was nice especially for a 7pm on a Monday it was a ghost town in there. The waiter started out nice and it went down hill from there she order the a salad with dressing in the side and no onions when she got the salad it was covered in dressing so she sent it back then they brought it back with dressing on the side and now it had onions then the waiter kind of got a attitude and said I didn't make the salad. Having worked in a team customer service environment for most of my adult life if one person fails the teams fails not the game of its their fault not mine. my wife and I was very embarrassed to say the least after bragging so much about Carraba's food this event has really left a sour taste in our mouths for this restaurant.

I'm not surprised this place has a modest 3 star average. Recently, I visited the fore mentioned restaurant hoping to have a nice lunch with my family on recommendation from a friend. However, our plans quickly changed after meeting "Sean", the establishment's manager at the hosts' desk. He rudely ask "how may I help you" before giving me the once-over from hell.... I will NEVER exchange my hard earned money with this establishment.

Some of the best food I've ever had was in Baton Rouge, but Italian wasn't one of them. The cuisine is simply not one of the city's strong suits and a chain like Carrabba's isn't part of the solution. My experience here was something amiss, I had hoped for more considering it was my first time at any location of the Carrabba's empire. Coming here was a little like going to Olive Garden. There was a hint of gimmick and a lot of chain. Menus were nicely designed, the place was cheesily decorated, and the vibe was undoubtably generic. The place was empty when I went, yet the service was still undeniably slow. The friendly staff tried their best to convince us that the finest chefs were working in the back and that everything was made from scratch. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and ordered a decent array of items, all of which came on a recommendation. The first round of appetizers included crab cakes and fried calamari. I love crab cakes normally, but these ones were a little on the dry side. A bit chewy from the start and not seasoned enough, they didn't exactly taste like they were fresh. The waitress was somewhat apologetic but didn't have any explanation. As far as fried calamari goes, this wasn't an ideal batch. Most of the pieces were rubbery and were generally unappetizing. I did order a caesar salad to keep my dining companions from freaking out, but even that was a bit of fail. The dressing was minimal and the lettuce appeared to be semi-wilted. For entrees we managed to score veal marsala with sauteed spinach, a house special lasagna, and breaded scallops with broccoli. The veal was unbelievably bland, though the sauteed spinach was somewhat decent. I tried my best to enjoy the lasagna, but no one at the table wanted to finish it. Somewhat underseasoned and super uninspiring, I was at the very least happy that my breaded scallops were relatively solid. The breading was thin, just enough for a crispy texture that just simply worked with the scalllops. I didn't care for the broccoli, which was pseudo-drenched in olive oil, but I was busy eating the scallops, which turned into the highlight of a very weak total variety of food. Our waitress wasn't able to defend her kitchen, but did her best to salvage the situation by talking about "New York Italian" food. She, along with my decently made scallops, has allowed for two solid stars. It's just the rest of Carrabba's that could use a lot of help.

I don't normally write reviews for chains but this is the first Carraba's I've seen with bar seats right in front of an exposed kitchen. It made for a very open viewing of our food being prepared and the chaos that is a kitchen. I had the steak skewers which was part of a 3 course meal for $15. I hold the opinion that their fried mozzarella is some of the best available. They may be one of the only resteraunts that actually makes their own fresh rather then just pop a frozen stick in the fryer. The soup was just okay. Chicken noodle is hard to screw up and hared to blow you away. The steak skewers were very good. I don't remember the last time I had steak cooked well done that wasn't tough and chewy. They managed to grill these fully threw, but keeping the meat moist and flavorfull.

i am not sure whats up with all the haters, but i love this place. i don't care that its a chain restaurant, the service was great, and the food was better. if it's too pricey, move on with life! oh and the bathroom had the best smelling soap ever, i would have stuck the bottle in my purse if it was big enough!

I have never eaten in the restaurant itself, but they catered two events I organized. I work with a teen program here in Baton Rouge, and I got to work closely with the owner, Sean, in order to make sure both events went perfectly. They provided everything we needed, from the chafing dishes to the utensils to the Sterno to keep the food hot. The lady who came to set everything up was efficient and friendly, getting done before I even realized she had started. The first lunch Carrabbas catered for me was a Saturday event with our teens. Sean worked with me to select a menu that our teens would enjoy and that we could easily serve. He helped us settle on a penne pasta with a pomodoro ( think spaghetti sauce) sauce and meatballs. The sauce was delicious, but not overpowering. The salad was plain, but there were no real weaknesses anywhere in the meal. Knowing that we were serving teens lunch, they sent us an incredible amount of food. We fed the teens that Saturday, then we had lunch in the office after our next staff meeting. Since they did such an impressive job feeding our teens, my executive director asked that we have Carrabbas cater a luncheon we were throwing for some of our mentors. Again, Sean was amazing. He worked with us to be sure that we took the Lenten dietary restrictions into account for our Friday lunch. We had a penne past with alfredo sauce and a penne with picchi pacchiu sauce (crushed tomatoes, garlic, olive oil, and basil). To make sure that everyone would be able to eat, whether observing Lenten traditions or not, Sean sent us some wonderful grilled chicken and grilled shrimp so that we could add it to whichever dish we wanted to try. This time, they sent us a wonderful Caesar salad which was perfectly tossed and balanced. In case you were wondering, the price was extremely reasonable: coming out to $10.00 per person, even though we had shrimp. Overall, the Baton Rouge Carrabbas was a wonderful choice for my events, and I intend to use them as often as I can.

We absolutely love Carrabbas and i'm not typically a lover of chains. I ordered the rigatoni martino, my husband orders the pollo rosa maria and our toddler usually gets the spaghetti and meatballs. The bread and oil is unlimited and is always fresh. We also enjoy the calamari appetizer. It is kid-friendly, while still boasting an intimate atmosphere. Their curbside to-go is also quite convenient and efficient.

As far as Italian restaurants go, this one was edible, but I'm not a fan. The atmosphere was all right, even though the place was busy. The first thing I noticed was the worn out seats on the bench, which made my behind hurt by the end of the meal. As for the meal, it was sub-par. I had the lasagna, which I could have done better at home with a box of Stouffers and a Caesar salad that was decent, but nothing special. The meal was accompanied by a bread and olive oil appetizer, which arrived almost 10 minutes after we were seated. The meal wasn't expensive, but I won't be back.

Great gluten-free menu here. We come here often because my wife has a gluten intolerance. On this trip she had he Caesar Salad and the salmon. She requested that the goat cheese medallions, basil, and sun dried tomatoes from the Chicken Bryan be put on her salmon. The chef was accommodating, and it was a wonderful dish. I had the mussels as an appetizer, and the stuffed chicken special. Mussels were great, especially when I dipped my bread in the garlic butter they come in. Chicken special was very good, but I was reminded why I don't order chicken when we go out: it's as boring as tilapia. The stuffing was delicious. Service was great as always.

Fresh, Fast and Friendly. Fantastic Italian, especially the Linguine Pescatore. Our glasses never went empty. The calamari and bread with seasoned dipping oil was enough appetizer for the four of us. The variety of flavors/seasonings in the chicken trio was exciting to the palate.

Craving Italian this afternoon while shopping in BTR. Decided to go to Carrabbas as we don't have one in the New Orleans area. Arrived early, so we beat the dinner crowd Seated quickly and ordered quickly. Ordered the Crab Cake appetizer and our entrees. The waitress brought out some hot bread and a mixture of seasonings that she mixed with olive oil. This was great. My wife's entree was Grilled chicken with two sides. Grilled veggies and sauteed spinach. This dish was great. I ordered the spaghetti and meat sauce. Not as good as I hoped. The meat sauce was sparse and bland. Ate a few bites and had it boxed to take home. Will add some marinara at home and hope it helps. I have eaten here before and enjoyed it. I learned to not order the spaghetti and meat sauce. Will go back and order something different next time. Have had too many positive experiences to allow this one visit to scare me away.

After a long day of hiking in Mississippi with two of my BR besties, we decided to come here for some good ol pasta. Let me tell you, we were starving!! Our waiter, Brandon, brought out a basket of fresh hot oh so yummy bread and 2 minutes later, he came by with another one. The sauce for the bread was olive oil with herbs which turned out to be a bit salty for our liking. Nonetheless, we scarfed it down like no tomorrow. I ordered the Chicken & Spinach Cannelloni: chicken, spinach, garlic, fresh herbs, fontina and romano cheese, topped with pomodoro and cream sauce. It was deeelish! My plate came with two huge cannelloni stuffed with chicken and the sauce kind of reminded me of lasagna sauce mixed with a bunch of ricotta cheese. I also tried the Seafood Cannelloni: Lobster, shrimp and scallops, blended with roasted garlic and chives, topped with shrimp and a light tomato cream sauce. Definitely seafoody. I also tried the Margherita Pizza: vine-ripe Roma tomatoes, basil, extra virgin olive oil and mozzarella. It was light, simple, and a little bland, nothing too special, but I would definitely order this if I want something light. One thing I have to note is the Impeccable service!! All thanks to Brandon, he catered to all our needs, but then again, there weren't a lot of diners he had to tend to. Beware: VERY low lighting, I could have fallen asleep, especially a day of hiking. The restaurant seriously left a dent in my wallet though: total of $16!! Definitely not a to go lunch place.

What a wonderful place to celebrate our 35th anniversary and our friends 61th birthday. Chris our waiter was so helpful with a rather difficult request. I wish everyone was as nice as he. The food was just wonderful. The Pollo Rosa Maria Stuffed with fontina and prosciutto, topped with mushrooms and a basil lemon butter sauce. 4 Stars Filet Fiorentina* 9 oz. USDA Choice center-cut tenderloin 4 Stars Red Fish Special 4 Stars Lobster rivioli was 3 Stars, the pasta was a little too thick for me. The sauce was very good. The sides were all very good and the spinach and beans not overcooked. Go for a good time

I can only speak for my delivery experience. We were staying right next door at the Residence Inn and ordered delivery. We got the margarita pizza and a Caesar salad. The pizza was kinda bland. I expected more tomato and a variety of flavors. The cheese taste was overpowering. I wouldn't go there for pizza again. The salad's dressing was too strong on the other hand. I usually like a lot of flavor but this was too much! Caesar salad is supposed to be a simple thing. Overall, I was underwelmed. Delivery was quick but we were only next door so I don't know what it's normally like.

This location of Carrabba's is gaining my interest. My first 3 visits to this restaurant were not that great. I had first eaten at a Carrabba's in Orlando, FL, which was the best restaurant I've ever eaten at so I had high expectations for this one. They disappointed me by not having the same chef sauce they had in Orlando that I had over my Salmon, nor did they have the same sauteed vegetables. But they did make an extra effort to accommodate me in those areas. Since then, they must've changed management and the food has revived itself. They did an overhaul of the menu and now the menu items are really great! The service when eating in the restaurant is a bit lacking, but not too bad. They leave you alone for long extended times, which is a no-no. I've mostly eaten take-out from here but have eaten inside the restaurant a handful of times as well. Things I've tried are: - Mozzarella Marinara (fried mozzarella sticks with marinara sauce) Crispy crust, stringy cheese, and a good robust sauce for dipping. - Italian Cobb Salad (with Shrimp instead of grilled chicken). I have to order extra dressing since they don't give you enough when ordering Take-out. Excellent awesome salad! Their mixed healthy baby lettuces and veggies are ALWAYS fresh. All of Carrabba's salads are the best of any restaurant in Baton Rouge. Healthy, green, fresh, crisp, and really tastey! - Italian side salad (with extra dressing). - Ceasar Salad (typical but still high quality ceasar salad). - Pepperoni and mushroom Brick Oven Pizza (not that great. Lacked sauce, was a bit dry, and the cheese must've been hiding under the little bit of toppings they put on there). - "Italian Classics" combination entree. (The lasagna was a bit unstructured and falling apart on the plate. Chicken Parmesan was excellent but the size of the breast was a bit small for the price. Wonderful flavors for both.) With these, you get a cup of soup or side salad, AND veggie of day, garlic mashed potatoes, or spiraled macaroni type pasta called Cavatappi Amatriciana which is really good. I always get the cup of soup. They offer 4 diff. types of soups but the best one in my opinion is the Tomato Basil! I've never liked chunky style tomato soups but this one I will overlook that for the flavor! It's BURSTING with flavor! And I'm not so sure if they puree'd it, if it would make the soup better. I think the slight chunkiness is almost like a pleasant surprise on each bite. This soup is top notch! Best in town! The veggie-of-the-days are a choice of stewed zucchinni with tomatoes (excellent/highly recommended) or sauteed spinach (really good), or steamed broccoli/carrots. - Pollo Rosa Maria (excellent but lacking the prosciutto. Not sure if they just forgot to add that in or if it was in there and was just too small to be seen, however I didn't taste it either). - Grilled Norweigian Salmon (this is the entree that won me over in Orlando but at this location, the sauce for the salmon was just ok. Instead of ordering it with the sauce it comes with, I get the lemon butter wine sauce and it's still just as good. The salmon could use a more smoked grilled flavor. Sometimes the salmon has been slightly overcooked but most of the time the salmon is cooked perfectly just past the opaque stage). - I've been told by my dinner companions the Chicken Marsala isn't as good as other restaurants in town. The portion looked a bit small. - Mezzaluna (really really good ravioli!!! My only complaint is that there was not enough sauce to keep the ravioli moist). - Lobster Ravioli (good but super tiny pieces of lobster in the ravioli, almost undetectable and not enough sauce). - Chicken and Spinach Cannelloni (really good, but small portion). - Pasta Carrabba (this is probably my most favorite entree they serve. It's Fettuccine Alfredo with thin sliced mushrooms, smokey grilled chicken breast slices that are juicy, and green peas that are not shriveled or over done, all in a parmesan cream sauce that has wine in it. SO good!!! My only complaint is that they don't put enough sauce over the pasta and it can get a bit dry or clumpy even as it cools so I order extra sauce and problem solved). - Pasta Weesie (this is also excellent, shrimp cooked perfectly and nicely sized and seasoned. Just have to order extra sauce). Disappointingly, they recently discontinued the Cannoli's on their dessert menu before I could try them. The Tiramisu is pretty good but not the best I've ever had. Small portion/over-priced. Their other desserts are also over-priced with small quantity. Overall, this restaurant is reviving itself in my eyes as time goes by so I will continue to eat here. I still have my eyes set on the Trout Nicciola to try along with the Calamari which comes highly recommended. Restaurant is great for a date. They need to cook with more sauce to keep the pastas moist after serving. Other than that, A+ for now.

In a nutshell, Carrabba's is a great Italian grill with solid service. I've been here on several occasions, and just about every time it has been a positive experience. The calamari here is one of the best-tasting calamari dishes I've ever eaten. The Chicken Parmesan is also top-notch, but you do need to order the pasta noodles as a side order. I consistently order these two items every time, and I have not yet been disappointed. I highly recommend Carrabba's to anyone who enjoys good Italian food!

Carraba's is my favorite Italian place in town. They have delcious food and its not just run-of-the-mill Italian food (ex. they have a fabulous crusted redfish served with spinich and artichoke hearts). The waiters are very friendly and are great about helping out newcomers with the menu.

The atmosphere is generic and chain restaurant-y. The service was great and the food was good. I ordered the veal marsala which was very good- got it with the asparagus rather than pasta- also very good. The salad that I had to start with had too much salad dressing and wasn't great. The salad came with the entree. If I go back I would try a soup instead of a salad- you have an option. I was honestly surprised that the food was so good- I never would have tried this place if a friend hadn't suggested it. I won't be rushing back but it is a good choice if you are in the area and I will probably come back at some point in the future. For Italian I still prefer Enoteca Marcello's or Bravo's but this is a solid option as well- just avoid the salads or ask for the dressing on the side- but to be honest, the dressing wasn't all that great anyway. The veal marsala was delightful though.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
